Do I need to use both every day?
Start every second night and build up gradually as your skin adjusts, especially if you're new to lactic acid-based body care.
What order should I apply them in?
Apply the Derma-Lac Lotion first to clean, dry skin and let it absorb, then follow with the Body Oil on areas that need extra nourishment.
Is this kit suitable for sensitive skin?
Start gradually (every second night) to gauge tolerance, and check with your esthetician if you have known sensitivities to AHAs.
Can I use this if I already use Environ on my face?
Yes - this kit brings the same vitamin-supported approach you use on your face down to the rest of the body.
After a Peel or Treatment
Can I use Body EssentiA Body Kit after a peel or treatment?
This contains a gentle form of vitamin A (retinyl ester), so the timing depends on your treatment. After a glycolic, salicylic or SkinCeuticals peel, pause it until your skin has fully settled, usually about 5 to 7 days. After an Environ Cool Peel, ask your esthetician when to restart, because Environ builds its peels around continued vitamin A use. After a BioRePeel (Rejuvenation Peel) or microchanneling, wait until your esthetician confirms your skin has calmed. After dermaplaning or microdermabrasion, wait at least 2 days. It also contains exfoliating acids, so err on the longer side. Every treatment is different, so always follow the aftercare instructions from your esthetician, patch test first, and stop using it if irritation lasts.
